Summary: Television Has Less Effect On Education About Climate Change Than Other Forms Of Media- that ridiculous long title says it all! Results based on the study done by George Mason University Communication Professor Xiaoquan Zhao, it was shown that much of the knowledge that people obtained about the controversial topic of climate change came from all other social media other than sitting in front of the tube. This article clearly reinforces the idea that many people spend a lot of their time surfing the web.

Response: After a little self-reflection, I realized that much of my knowledge on the topic of climate change comes from the newspaper and articles I find on the World Wide Web. Referring back to the article, I have to say that after watching the movie The Day After Tomorrow my interest in climate change rose tremendously. The first questions that come to mind have to do with television...Is television coming in second place in regards to what people spend a lot of their time watching?..and if so, are there decreasing television rates to prove this? Whether there is a dramatic difference in front of what screen people spend a lot of their time in front of is a totally different issue.

Usefulness: I read this article and my initial thoughts were those of reassurance. I think many people after reading this article would be able to say, "yeah that sounds about right.." This article could be of use as support in regards to how social media is affecting the topic of climate change in our world today.
